How does Emot Technology function?

Bacteria are single-celled microbial organisms that feed on different types of organic matter in the aquatic environment. Bacteria's nutritional processes are crucial to their survival and function in a given environment. Here is some key information about bacterial nutrition.

Bacteria feed in an aquatic environment. Water acts as a carrier, allowing bacteria to access dissolved organic matter.

Bacteria produce various substances called metabolites, such as enzymes and biosurfactants. These metabolites play a key role in breaking down and dissolving the bacteria's food in the water.

Enzymes and biosurfactants work together to dissolve the bacteria's food in the water. Biosurfactants reduce the surface tension of the water facilitating the dissolution of organic matter, which makes the feeding process easier.

Enzymes play an important role in breaking down complex chemical structures, such as carbohydrate or hydrocarbon chains. This facilitates the absorption of these substances by bacterial cells.

Enzymes have active centers, which is where the reaction of breaking down substrates into smaller, more accessible forms takes place. Bacteria use these products to build their cells and obtain energy.

After absorbing food molecules, bacteria process the chemicals in them for their own growth and function. This process involves the production of cellular building blocks, energy, metabolites, water and carbon dioxide.
